McGruff says "Take a BITE out of crime!"
McGruff the Crime Dog has been helping families fight crime in their community since 1980.
McGruff's lessons have been very influential in making communities around the world a safer environment for children and adults alike. His messages have changed from urging personal, family, and home security to more broadly based crime prevention concerns. Some of his message include: internet safety, bicycle safety, stranger danger, bullying, stopping violence at home and/or school, and drug and alcohol awareness.
The Littleton Police Department supports the
messages presented by McGruff and possesses a full McGruff costume so the
youth can enjoy personal visits by McGruff.
