On March 19th, we welcomed two new
officers to our team. David A. Wentworth was hired to fill a current
vacancy and Kevin A. LaValley was hire to fill the temporary vacancies due to
deployment. They were sworn in at the Board of Selectmen's meeting on
Wednesday, April 7th and will be attending the 152nd Full-Time Police Academy that
begins at the end of the month.

May is shaping up to be a busy month
for the department! Law Enforcement Memorial Week is May 9th-15th, and
we will be holding a memorial service at Glenwood Cemetery during that
week...details will follow. We will also be participating in the Law
Enforcement Torch Run on May 16th as well as the "Protect & Serve"
campaign that will be held at Circle K on June 5th to benefit the NH Special
Olympics.

Plans are well underway for our 4th
Annual Paintball Tournament. The tournament will be held at Remich
Park on Saturday, June 19th, and it begins at 9:00 AM so be sure to get there
earlier to register your team! This is a family event so bring your
parents, siblings and friends to cheer you and your team on! A cookout
lunch will be provided for all participants and spectators.

The VIPS Program has initiated
their Good Morning Program. This program is designed for senior citizens
or handicapped individuals who live alone with no one to look in on them on a
daily basis and are at risk of sudden illness, falls or accidents.
