2008 PAINTBALL TOURNAMENT
On Saturday, June 14th, 2008, the Littleton Police Department held its 2nd Annual Paintball Tournament at Remich Park. It has quickly become a family event and we are pleased to announce that it was a HUGE success! A cookout lunch was provided for participants, family, and friends. We had ten teams signed up to compete for prizes valued at approximately $1400.
The Compton Wookies won the tournament and took home the first place prizes. The team won an X-Box 360 (donated by Wal*Mart) and each member received an I-Pod Shuffle. The team was also presented with equipment donated by Q-Loaded. After the prizes were awarded, the Compton Wookies announced that they will be donating the X-Box 360 to the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth (CHAD). We commend the team for their thoughtfulness and generosity!
Almost Famous came in second place and each member received a box of 2000ct. paintball markers as well as a CO˛ tank. They were also presented with equipment donated by Q-Loaded. The third place team was Backdraft and each member received a $10 gift card to Ninety-Nine and a $10 rental card to Movie Gallery. In addition, Backdraft also received a paintball gun and equipment that was donated by Corey’s Sport Shop.
Everyone had a fantastic time…thank you to all the participants and congratulations to all the winners! We look forward to hosting next year’s tournament.
